This year, the organizing committee of I3DA 2025 warmly invites you to attend the DAFx25  conference, which will be held in Ancona the week before our event.

The 28th International Conference on Digital Audio Effects (DAFx25) will take place on September 2-5, 2025 in Ancona, Italy, organized by A3Lab of Università Politecnica delle Marche. The conference will be hosted at the historical Mole Vanvitelliana, a cornerstone of culture in the port city of Ancona. The conference will feature presentations of high-quality, fully peer-reviewed research papers and inspiring keynote and tutorials. DAFx brings together research practitioners across the globe working with digital audio processing for music and speech, sound design, sound art, acoustics and related applications. The proceedings of DAFx25 will be available as open access and indexed in Scopus similarly to the previous editions.

HOW TO REACH ANCONA FROM BOLOGNA

Ancona is 218 km away from Bologna and can easily be reached by train or car.

BY TRAIN

Traveling from Bologna to Ancona by train is simple and efficient. Start your journey at Bologna’s main train station, where you’ll find frequent Trenitalia services, including high-speed Frecciarossa and Intercity trains. These direct trains ensure a smooth trip without the need for transfers. The journey typically lasts around 1 hour and 50 minutes. Once you arrive, you’ll step off at Ancona Centrale.

BY CAR

Driving from Bologna to Ancona is a straightforward journey of approximately 218 kilometers, taking around 2 hours and 5 minutes under normal traffic conditions. Begin your trip by heading sud on the A14 (E55). Once you approach Ancona, follow local signage to reach your final destination.
